Join your Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) board members and stewards of other parks for a "Gala Workday".
The Deer Lakes Park stewards, Lee and Elizabeth Klevens, have inspected the trails and identified key areas in need of care. Please help by volunteering your time to enhance the beauty of this 1,180 acre county park. Strengthen your bonds with other like-minded individuals and families in your community. Afterwards, enjoy an outdoor activity on the multi-use trails with your fellow volunteers.
Work will include fixing drainage problems and cutting back overgrowth.
Bring gloves; wear sturdy boots, long pants and long sleeve shirt. Eye protection is encouraged.
Water will be provided. Please bring your own water bottle to reduce waste.
Refreshments will be served at 1:00pm at the Pike 1 Shelter. Adult beverages provided by Rivertowne Brewing. Schwag provided by Dirty Harry's and Dirt Rag Magazine. We'll have a 50/50 raffle at 1:30pm.
