Are you an experienced trail worker? Crew coordinators are needed as many areas have been inspected and flag for much needed TLC. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate your interest to work with a crew on a designated area.
Join your Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) board members and stewards of other parks for a "Gala Workday".
The Hartwood Acres Park steward Len Kulbacki with the help of Karl Rosengarth (Dirt Rag magazine), have inspected the trails and identified key areas in need of care. Please help by volunteering your time to enhance the beauty of this 629 acre county park. Strengthen your bonds with other like-minded individuals and families in your community. Afterwards, enjoy an outdoor activity on the multi-use trails with your fellow volunteers.
Work will focus on trail maintenance and repair.
Bring gloves; wear sturdy boots, long pants and long sleeve shirt. Eye protection is encouraged.
Water will be provided. Please bring your own water bottle to reduce waste.
Food will be provided at the start to help keep you nourished while working. At noon, lunch will be served...
Bring your favorite outdoor chair.
