Help get the trail ready for the Saturday, October 5, 2013 "Trail Dedication". There will be fun for everyone of all ages with walk and foot races, prizes, food and music.
Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) and Improve the Vue have partnered together to organize two work weekends. We need volunteers for these days. Check your calendar, adjust your schedule and come on out. Take ownership in our park and carve out your niche in the trail.
Saturday, August 24, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Sunday, August 25, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Saturday, September 14, 9:00am - 12:00pm
Sunday, September 15, 10:00am - 1:00pm
PTAG will provide tools. If volunteers wish, they may bring a small saw, rake, shovel, or any digging tools. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, gloves, and clothing. Eye protection is encouraged. The trail building work is physically demanding, requiring digging, raking, and moving heavy amounts of forest material (e.g. dead trees, dirt, rocks). Basically, people who have experience gardening will be fine.
